Pharmacists - Requirements

a. You must hold at least a 4-year university degree in Pharmacy if you graduated before January 1, 2003; if you graduated after this date you must hold at least a 5-year university degree;

b. You must currently be licensed to practice Pharmacy in at least one country. If you are not licensed, then: You can provide an official statement from the licensing/registration agency in the country or jurisdiction where the pharmacy degree was earned confirming eligibility to practice pharmacy, but because of non-citizenship neither licensure nor registration were obtained; or

c. You must request an "Affidavit for Failure to Obtain Licensure in a Foreign Jurisdiction" from NABP® if the country or jurisdiction where you earned your pharmacy degree does not require licensing or registration to practice pharmacy.

d. You must be fluent in English. You must obtain the following English examination scores:

  • TOEFL: 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based); and
  • TSE: 50 (note: the TOEFL and TSE scores can be satisfied within 2 years of passing the FPGEE®, but must be satisfied before obtaining FPGEC® certification); or
  • TOEFL iBT:
  • 18 for listening
    21 for reading
    26 for speaking
    24 for writing
e.You must pass the FPGEE® exam.
